Title: Loneliness and the use of social and counselling services: Influence of availability and individual factors

PI: Vera Moliadze

Staff: Christoph Borzikowsky

Collaboration: Jonas Schmeißner-Darkow, Rickling Psychiatric Hospital; Segeberg district, Social psychiatry and health promotion

The objectives of this research project are to conduct a representative study of loneliness with regional, socio-demographic and individual factors and to answer the research question: How is the use of social and counselling services by lonely people influenced by availability, health status, socio-economic status and their own engagement with the topic of loneliness?

The results of this study should, on the one hand, contribute to filling the gap in local data on loneliness research and, on the other hand, support local actors in developing appropriate strategies for coping with loneliness within the framework of a health promotion conference.
